Prospective Study Coordinators

We do not have any open positions at this time. We thank the candidates for their time and interest and will update this page in the future should any positions be made available.

Prospective Psychology Graduate Students

The application cycle for 2026 in Clinical Psychology is over. The deadline for applying for the 2027 cycle will be November 1, 2026. If you have a strong background in statistics, programming, and/or fMRI analyses, plus an interest in affective science and/or developmental psychology, consider applying. Because of the volume of e-mails she receives, Dr. Ho will not be able to respond to inquiries about graduate school applications. Dr. Ho will NOT be able to support international students unless they have their own funding.

Prospective Neuroscience Graduate Students

Dr. Ho is a faculty member of the Interdepartmental Ph.D. program in Neuroscience at UCLA and typically accepts at least one rotation student a year. If you are already admitted or enrolled in the program and are interested in rotating in Dr. Ho’s lab, please send an e-mail with your CV, a brief description of your research interests, and your meeting availability for the next two weeks.

Prospective Postdoctoral Researchers

Potential postdoctoral researchers who are interested in applying for external funding to work with Dr. Ho are encouraged to contact her. The ideal candidates are those who have a strong background in human MRI and who are eager to convert large-scale analyses of neuroimaging data to publishable products or who are clinically trained and would like to lead training on a variety of clinical instruments. Dr. Ho will NOT be able to sponsor H1B visas. Please e-mail Dr. Ho with your CV and a brief description of your research interests.

Prospective Volunteer or Undergraduate Research Assistants

We do not have any open positions at this time but anticipate recruiting more undergraduate RAs to begin Summer 2026. Please e-mail uclacandylabapps@gmail.com by April 15, 2026 with a PDF of your CV that is named XX_YYYY_SummerRA2026.pdf (where XX refers to your surname and YYYY refers to the year you anticipate graduating from UCLA) with the subject heading “Summer CANDY Lab Volunteer” if you are interested in joining. Please include the names and contact information for at least two professional references in the body of your e-mail and your availability for the next two weeks in case we decide to potentially schedule an in-person interview with you. Please only contact us if you are able to commit 20 hours/week this summer and 10 hours/week for the next three academic quarters. All positions are only offered in-person.

Prospective Honors Students

We are at capacity for the # of undergraduate honors students we can support for the 2026-2027 academic year. We also typically prioritize students who have completed at least three quarters of volunteering in the lab.
