Ph.D.
Dr. Iris Chat is a NIMH T32 Postdoctoral Fellow. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University and completed her APA-accredited clinical internship at Western Psychiatric Hospital/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Her research investigates neurobiological mechanisms underlying the development and maintenance of depression, with a particular focus on deficits in motivation and anhedonia. Specifically, her work examines abnormalities in reward processing, inflammation, and their synergistic interactions. Ultimately, she aims to translate these mechanistic insights into more precise and effective approaches to preventing and treating depression.
