Tara Fleming
B.S.
Tara graduated with her B.S. from Northeastern University, where she double majored in Health Science and Psychology, and minored in Behavioral Neuroscience. During her time at Northeastern she worked under Dr. Laurel Gabard-Durnam in the Plasticity in Neurodevelopment Lab as well as Dr. David DeSteno in the Social Emotion Lab. Her capstone thesis focused on the psychopharmacology of Bipolar I disorder and creating RDoC-aligned scales for presentations of mania. She also completed an independent research project in the PINE lab that examined post-partum depression scales against critical period outcomes for infants. Outside of the lab, Tara enjoys ceramics, reading, traveling, and spending time with her cat, Junebug. She hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a developmental focus, where she can continue exploring the factors that shape mental health across the lifespan.
